DaBaby Rejects Fan Art of Daughters

Most artists appreciate fan art, but for rapper DaBaby, there’s a clear line between appreciating a portrait of himself and having his children’s likenesses used. This week, the rapper made it known that he’s not here for fan art featuring his young daughters, especially when presented outside a nightclub.

A ‘Creepy’ Gesture Outside the Club

The incident occurred when a fan, identified as B. White, approached DaBaby at a nightclub entrance to gift him a hand-painted canvas. The artwork featured two of DaBaby’s young daughters. What the fan likely intended as a heartfelt tribute, DaBaby perceived as a significant invasion of his children’s privacy and a lack of respect.

Taking to social media to vent his frustration, the North Carolina native didn’t mince words. “Man, y’all starting to get on my motherfing nerves,” DaBaby stated, clearly unhappy with the situation. He specifically addressed the encounter, emphasizing his discomfort with the painting of his daughters being presented outside a club.

Protecting His Children

DaBaby elaborated on his principles as a father, stressing that his children are off-limits to strangers. “I’m not the type of father that—then, I’m not into like, you know, grown-ass man discussing my daughters, painting pictures of my daughters, taking pictures of my kids,” he explained. “I don’t—I don’t play like that.”

He contrasted his stance with others, suggesting that if people choose to engage in such practices, that’s their prerogative, but he personally draws the line. He implied that if someone wants to paint their own daughters, that’s their business, but he expects the same respect for his own family.

The Artist’s Reaction

The artist, B. White, appeared taken aback by DaBaby’s harsh reaction. He later posted a video showcasing the detailed artwork, expressing his confusion and frustration that his “grand gesture” was met with such negativity. He questioned why the rapper wouldn’t appreciate a painting of his children, especially at 2:00 AM.

However, DaBaby wasn’t seeking an apology; he wanted fans to exercise common sense and respect boundaries. He reiterated that accepting a painting of his daughters outside a nightclub was unacceptable. For DaBaby, the message is clear: show love and support for him, but keep his family out of it.
