Over the weekend, Uncle Luke shared his perspective via Instagram, stating that their perceived support for President Donald Trump and MAGA politics “hits different.”

While Campbell respects everyone’s right to their own opinions, he made it clear that he disagrees with their alignment. “It hits different when people who came from our community choose to line up with people who don’t have our best interests at heart,” Campbell wrote. He believes public figures should instead be championing issues like “reparations,” “economic power,” and the needs within their own neighborhoods.

Campbell’s commentary comes as he’s embarking on his own political journey, running for Florida’s 20th Congressional District. His message urges a focus on uplifting the Black community from within.

Chilli’s Explanation

The controversy surrounding Chilli began when documents surfaced showing she had donated to Republican groups, including WinRed and the Trump National Committee, in 2024. She also faced criticism for reposting a false claim about former First Lady Michelle Obama. In response, Chilli took to Instagram to clarify her actions.

“I WANT TO BE CLEAR: I am not MAGA and do not support any of the many policies that are causing great harm to the American people,” she stated. Chilli explained that she made a mistake by not reading the fine print, believing her donations were going towards causes against human trafficking and for veterans, issues she deeply cares about. She asked for grace as she learns from this experience.

Nick Cannon’s Remarks

Nick Cannon also drew backlash after praising Trump during an episode of his web series. “I f–k with Trump,” Cannon said. “He’s cleaning house. He’s doing what he said he was gonna do.” Uncle Luke feels that such comments send the wrong message and disregard the concerns of many Black voters.
