It looks like Cardi B is choosing self-love over surgery! The Grammy-winning rapper, currently on her “Little Miss Drama Tour,” has decided to cancel her plans for a butt reduction procedure in Colombia. Instead, she’s embracing her curves and feeling more comfortable in her skin than ever.
A Shift in Perspective
During a recent appearance on “Today with Jenna & Sheinelle,” Cardi B, whose real name is Belcalis Almánzar, shared her change of heart. “I was just gonna take a little bit of butt out, but I don’t have time for that,” she explained. The 33-year-old mother of four expressed that she feels “really comfortable” with her body, especially after welcoming her fourth child, a baby boy, in November 2025.
Cardi candidly discussed her post-baby body, acknowledging the presence of cellulite. “I do have a whole bunch of cellulite because I don’t know if it’s the age or I don’t know if it’s the fact that I have four kids,” she admitted. However, she quickly followed up with a message of self-acceptance: “But it’s okay. I’m loving my imperfections and everything, and I just feel really comfortable. I feel really good.”
From Backstage Plans to Public Statement
This decision comes shortly after Cardi B had publicly shared her intentions to undergo the procedure. Backstage footage showed her discussing plans to “take some out” after her tour, mentioning a trip to Colombia and a three-month hiatus from public life. “I’m taking this a** out!” she had declared.
Cardi’s history with cosmetic procedures includes undergoing controversial biopolymer injections in her butt at age 21, a procedure not approved by the FDA due to potential health risks. She has since spoken openly about having “95%” of the biopolymers removed in 2022 and has even warned younger fans against such procedures.
Prioritizing Time and Well-being
Having embarked on her tour shortly after the birth of her youngest child, Cardi B seems to be re-evaluating how she spends her time and energy. “I feel like I almost had a baby a year ago and sometimes I go, ‘Wait, I just had a baby four months ago!’ because I have done so much,” she shared on “Today.”
Her evolving perspective underscores a growing trend of prioritizing mental and physical well-being, choosing self-love and acceptance over conforming to external pressures or perceived beauty standards. It’s a powerful message from an artist who has always been unapologetically herself.
