Woman Counts to 1,070,000 in 70 Days, Breaks Record

In an extraordinary display of dedication and mental discipline, Favour Ogechi Ani, a woman from Nigeria, has officially broken a long-standing Guinness World Record. Ani spent 70 consecutive days counting aloud, reaching an astonishing total of 1,070,000.

Surpassing the Million-Number Mark

Ani embarked on this ambitious journey in October 2025 with a singular goal: to surpass the previous Guinness World Record, which stood at one million spoken numbers. Her commitment involved long hours, intense concentration, and unwavering mental fortitude, as she reportedly dedicated up to 14 hours each day to counting numbers aloud.

Describing the experience, Ani shared, “Honestly, it was tough, but my passion for counting kept me going.” Her determination was fueled not only by an internal drive but also by the support of her online community.

Live-Streaming and Community Motivation

Ani chose to live-stream her daily counting sessions on YouTube, allowing viewers to follow her progress in real-time. She found that her audience became a crucial source of motivation throughout the challenging endeavor. “The internal desire to break limits and achieve something extraordinary pushed me to break this record,” she added.

Ani intentionally exceeded the original Guinness World Record requirement of counting to one million. By extending her goal to 1,070,000, she created a more significant gap between her achievement and the previous record. This extra 70,000 numbers represented additional hours of vocal and mental strain, making the final day an emotional yet relieving experience for her.
