Jay-Z Announces Yankee Stadium Concerts for Album Anniversaries

Hip-hop mogul Jay-Z is set to celebrate significant milestones in his career with two highly anticipated concerts at Yankee Stadium this summer. The shows will commemorate the 30th anniversary of his debut album, “Reasonable Doubt,” and the 25th anniversary of his seminal work, “The Blueprint.”

Two Nights, Two Iconic Albums

The concerts are scheduled for July 10th and 11th, with each night dedicated to one of the landmark albums that defined Jay-Z’s rise and enduring influence in hip-hop. The announcement came on Tuesday, March 18th, following speculation fueled by subtle hints from the rapper, including the temporary restoration of the umlaut in his name to “JAŸ-Z” in tribute to his debut.

Roc Nation confirmed the events on social media, captioning a post with: “Two historic nights to celebrate the iconic albums Reasonable Doubt and The Blueprint.” The announcement detailed the schedule: “JAŸ-Z 30 on Friday, July 10. JAŸ-Z 25 on Saturday, July 11. Yankee Stadium. Stay Tuned.” Fans reacted with immense excitement, with one user writing, “Thank you, Baby Jesus!!! I did not want to take my old ass to a festival. I am staying tuned!” Another added, “Wait, these two separate concerts for two separate albums. He playing big games!”

Hints of New Music and Rare Performances

For weeks, fans have speculated about Hov’s next move, especially with these major album anniversaries approaching. Jay-Z has been dropping hints, including making the original version of “Dead Presidents” available on streaming platforms and releasing select tracks on vinyl. His headlining performance at The Roots Picnic on May 30th was also announced, marking his first public performance in years and his first festival date in years, aside from a surprise cameo during Beyoncé’s “Cowboy Carter” tour stop in Paris in June 2025.

The partnership with The Roots has deep roots, dating back to Jay-Z’s acclaimed “MTV Unplugged” performance featuring the band, which showcased hits from “The Blueprint” and his back catalog. With three major performances scheduled for the year, fans are increasingly hopeful for new music, as Jay-Z’s last album, “4:44,” was released in 2017.
