Keem was quick to point out that ‘Child With Wolves’ didn’t simply transform into ‘Ca$ino.’ Instead, it became ‘Janice,’ suggesting two distinct projects are in the works or have been developed. While it’s still unclear if ‘Child With Wolves’ (or ‘Janice’) will ever be officially released, it’s exciting to know how these creative ideas have developed over time.

A More Personal and Accessible Sound

Keem explained that ‘Child With Wolves’ was more personal and perhaps less “accessible” because he was primarily rapping about past experiences. He felt he wasn’t “living in the moment enough,” which likely contributed to the nearly five-year wait for that project. His recent travels and new memories inspired the more upbeat and love-focused tracks found on ‘Ca$ino,’ like “Dramatic Girl” and “Birds & the Bees.”

With ‘Ca$ino’ already making a significant impact – selling nearly 72,000 copies in its first week and debuting at number four on the Hot 200, his best career mark yet – fans are hopeful that ‘Child With Wolves’/’Janice’ might see the light of day eventually. Given how strong 2026 has been for rap releases, hearing this more personal project would be incredible.
