It seems Kenya Moore is dealing with more than just reality TV drama these days. The former star of The Real Housewives of Atlanta is embroiled in a legal dispute concerning her Atlanta hair salon, Kenya Moore Hair Spa. Court records reveal a Georgia judge has ordered Moore’s business entity to pay a substantial sum in back rent and utilities.
A Nearly $90,000 Court Order
According to documents obtained by TMZ, Moore Vision Media, the company behind the Kenya Moore Hair Spa, has been ordered to pay over $80,000. The judge mandated two payments: $43,988 by the end of February and an additional $43,988.67 by the end of March, totaling $87,976. This ruling stems from a lawsuit filed by the landlord, Northland Chamblee LLC, in October 2025.
The landlord alleged that Kenya’s salon failed to make rent and utility payments as per their lease agreement, with payments reportedly stopping in December 2024. The salon, which opened its doors in 2024, is now facing significant financial penalties.
Ongoing Legal Battles and Denials
The situation has escalated further, as the landlord reportedly returned to court alleging that Moore’s company missed the initial payment deadline. They have requested immediate possession of the property, though a judge has yet to rule on this specific request. The Kenya Moore Hair Spa is currently required to continue paying approximately $5,500 in monthly rent unless the space is vacated.
Kenya Moore herself has denied any wrongdoing. Her company’s defense argues that the landlord failed to complete necessary improvements to the salon space as agreed upon in the lease. Moore has not publicly addressed these latest developments directly.
A Complicated Business Venture
This legal battle adds another layer to the challenges faced by public figures venturing into business ownership. While Moore’s hair spa aimed to be a luxurious destination, the current dispute highlights the complexities of commercial leases and landlord-tenant relationships.
The outcome of the landlord’s request for property possession remains to be seen, but the significant court order underscores the seriousness of the unpaid rent and utility claims. This situation serves as a stark reminder of the legal and financial responsibilities that come with running a business.
