Jada Pinkett Smith Sued for $3M Over Alleged Death Threat

Jada Pinkett Smith is reportedly facing a significant legal challenge. A $3 million lawsuit has been filed by Bilaal Salaam, a long-time family friend, who claims Jada threatened his life if he continued to share what she considered private information. This lawsuit brings a new layer of drama to the ongoing public narrative surrounding the Smith family.

The Alleged Confrontation and Threats

According to People, Salaam, also known as Brother Bilaal, alleges that the confrontation occurred in September 2021 during a birthday celebration for Will Smith at the Regency Calabasas Commons. He claims Jada Pinkett Smith, accompanied by roughly seven members of her entourage, approached him in the hotel lobby. The complaint details that she allegedly threatened him, stating that if he kept ‘telling her personal business,’ he would ‘end up missing or catch a bullet.’

Salaam further alleges that Jada demanded he sign a nondisclosure agreement on the spot. The alleged intimidation didn’t end there; as Salaam was leaving, he claims someone from Jada’s group followed him to his car and continued to hurl threats. This alleged incident paints a picture of a tense and potentially dangerous encounter.

Post-Oscars Allegations and Defamation Claims

The lawsuit claims that after Salaam refused to assist with alleged ‘crisis management’ following the infamous Oscars incident involving Will Smith, a continued campaign of intimidation and defamation began. Salaam asserts this was a direct result of his refusal to participate in what he described as unethical PR tactics.

He is now suing for intentional emotional distress, reputational harm, and damages stemming from what he describes as a coordinated effort to silence him. Neither Jada Pinkett Smith nor Will Smith has publicly commented on the legal matter at this time.
