After a year filled with significant personal and professional milestones, Halle Bailey is ready to embrace the holiday season with a sense of peace and joy. Having recently resolved a challenging custody battle with her ex-boyfriend DDG, the actress and singer is feeling ‘healed, happy, and free,’ and eager to celebrate with her one-year-old son, Halo.
A Year of Transformation
Bailey described 2025 as a ‘transformative year.’ Beyond the public custody dispute, which involved domestic violence claims and restraining orders, she also released her new album, ‘Love?… or Something Like It,’ and wrapped up filming for her upcoming movie, ‘You, Me & Tuscany.’ Juggling career, motherhood, and a high-profile legal battle has clearly been demanding.
The co-parenting agreement, reached last month, saw both Bailey and DDG drop previous filings against each other. This resolution has brought a sense of relief, allowing Bailey to focus on the positive aspects of her life, especially her son.
Holiday Traditions and Musical Moments
Now, Bailey is looking forward to creating joyful holiday memories. She’s already decking out her house with Christmas lights and plans to indulge in her favorite tradition: baking sugar cookies. ‘I do a whole thing,’ she shared with E! News, hinting at her festive spirit.
Little Halo, it seems, is already following in his mother’s musical footsteps. ‘He loves music,’ Bailey revealed. ‘So, we wake up in the morning and sing songs.’ While she’s open to whatever musical path Halo might choose, she’s delighted by his natural inclination towards music.
Spreading Holiday Cheer
Adding to the festive season, Bailey is scheduled to perform during NBC’s “Christmas in Rockefeller Center” on December 3rd. It’s sure to be a heartwarming performance, reflecting her current state of happiness and gratitude.
