It seems the holiday spirit didn’t extend to all relationships in the hip-hop world. 50 Cent, known for his sharp wit and social media jabs, has once again targeted Roc-A-Fella Records co-founder Dame Dash. This time, the G-Unit mogul took aim at Dash’s dental appearance in a recent Instagram post.
A Public Jab
50 Cent shared a picture of Dame Dash, highlighting his teeth, and captioned it with a warning to his followers: “What ever you do don’t believe people like this they’re desperate looking for attention. @50centaction Happy Holiday!” The post quickly garnered reactions from fans, with some finding humor in the remark and others admonishing 50 Cent for the comment.
This isn’t the first time 50 Cent has publicly commented on Dame Dash’s financial or personal struggles. The two have a long-standing history of public disagreements and online sparring.
Dame Dash’s Health Struggles
It’s worth noting that Dame Dash has previously spoken openly about how his diabetes has impacted his health, including his teeth. In a September episode of his “Bosses Take Losses” series, Dash detailed a recent eye surgery related to his condition and mentioned upcoming dental work.
You get these things that are called floaters in your eye. I got gel—everyone does in their eye. It makes the blood stay there, so they had to take the gel out. Get your jokes, but know that right now I’m in my dentist office and tomorrow, I’m getting a surgery and hopefully by the time y’all see this, I’ll have some new teeth. — Dame Dash
Dash’s candidness about his health issues highlights the personal challenges he’s been facing, making 50 Cent’s public taunt particularly pointed.
The Root of the Feud
The current friction between 50 Cent and Dame Dash appears to stem from 50 Cent’s announcement that he acquired the rights to the film “Paid In Full” and plans for a TV series reboot. Dame Dash, who previously held the rights, lost them during bankruptcy proceedings, adding another layer to their ongoing conflict.
