Hold up, did Travis Scott just drop a bombshell? While wrapping up his epic ‘Circus Maximus Tour’ in Mumbai, India, on November 19th, a video surfaced showing the rap superstar revealing he’s been incredibly busy – he made an entire album while on the road! Yes, you read that right. A whole new project was crafted amidst sold-out shows and global travel.
An Album Born on the Road
In the clip, which is making waves on social media, Scott confirms he’s been working on new music. When asked if he had anything in the pipeline, he casually dropped the news: “Oh yeah, like a whole album.” And when pressed about a release date, he added with a hopeful tone, “Soon, hopefully. Yeah, I made a whole album on tour.”
This revelation has fans buzzing, but also a bit skeptical. Given the notoriously long wait times for new music from some artists, social media users are already speculating. Comments like “soon means 2-5 years btw rappers changed the meaning” and “This sh*t isn’t dropping for another 2 years at least lol” are popping up. Some even wonder if he might be referring to ‘Jackboys 2,’ depending on when the video was actually filmed.
Circus Maximus Tour Makes History
The ‘Circus Maximus Tour’ itself has been a monumental success. Wrapping up in Mumbai, the tour officially became the highest-grossing solo rap tour of all time, raking in an incredible $265.1 million with 2.1 million tickets sold, according to Billboard. Scott kicked off the tour in October 2023, performing across 20 countries on six continents.
Throughout the tour, he brought out a star-studded lineup of guests, including Kanye West, Don Toliver, and many others, making each show a unique experience. If the new album is indeed ‘Jackboys 2,’ Scott already dropped his second compilation album with Cactus Jack Records in July, featuring a massive roster of artists.
What’s Next for La Flame?
Whether this new album is a surprise drop or a project that will take time to perfect, one thing is clear: Travis Scott is a creative force who doesn’t stop. Making a full album while navigating a demanding world tour is no small feat. It speaks to his dedication and passion for his craft, leaving fans eagerly anticipating whatever he decides to release next.
