This is some scary stuff. New footage has emerged showing the moment armed gunmen stormed Tekashi 6ix9ine’s home in Florida over the weekend. The terrifying incident saw the rapper’s mother held against her will by the intruders.
Inside the Home Invasion
The clips, reportedly from the property’s security cameras, show a group of four masked men forcing their way in through the garage. According to authorities, the gunmen demanded cash and car keys before making their escape. They fled the scene just before police arrived.
Law enforcement used a K-9 unit to sweep the property after arriving, but the suspects were nowhere to be found. An investigation into the home invasion is currently underway, and authorities are working to identify and apprehend the individuals involved.
6ix9ine Was Livestreaming During the Incident
Adding to the drama, Tekashi 6ix9ine himself was not home during the break-in. He was reportedly livestreaming with Jack Doherty at the time. This incident comes at a particularly tense moment for the rapper, as he was due back in court for a sentencing hearing just days later.
He faced potential jail time, between three and nine months, for violating the terms of his supervised release back in August. Prosecutors were pushing for prison time, emphasizing that even cooperators are not above the law. His lawyer, Lance Lazzaro, argued that prison time would be unfair given 6ix9ine’s history of cooperation and the harsh conditions he faces in segregation.
