It seems Offset’s latest musical offering, ‘Haunted By Fame,’ isn’t quite living up to its title on the charts. The album, released just in time for Halloween, has unfortunately failed to make an appearance on the prestigious Billboard 200 chart. This comes as a surprise, especially following his previous album, ‘Kiari.’
A Steep Drop in Chart Performance
Released only a few months after his third solo album, ‘Kiari,’ ‘Haunted By Fame’ arrived with little advance notice. While it features notable artists like NBA YoungBoy, Lil Dump, and NoCap, the project reportedly sold less than 8,000 units in its opening week. This marks a significant decline compared to ‘Kiari,’ which debuted with 29,000 units.
The lack of promotion for ‘Haunted By Fame’ could certainly be a contributing factor to its low chart performance. However, the stark difference in sales figures compared to his previous work is notable for the former Migos member.
Beyond the Music: Personal and Legal Battles
Offset’s current challenges extend beyond album sales. He’s been navigating rumors surrounding his split from Cardi B. Earlier this month, reports circulated about a $10 million settlement offer from Cardi B that Offset allegedly refused. He took to Instagram to deny these claims, calling them “false rumors” and urging people to stop a “hate campaign.”
Adding to his troubles, Offset is also facing a lawsuit from a security guard, Jim Sanchez. The guard alleges that Offset punched him at a Los Angeles marijuana dispensary, resulting in injuries that required medical treatment and caused him to miss work. Sanchez is seeking over $25,000 in damages. Offset has denied these allegations, claiming that he and his crew were maced during the incident.
Looking Ahead
With a new album that didn’t hit the charts as expected and ongoing personal and legal battles, Offset is facing a challenging period. Fans will be watching to see how he addresses these issues and what his next steps will be, both musically and personally.
