Diana Ross Dazzles with ‘Endless Love’ in Atlantic City

Get ready for some ‘Endless Love’! The iconic Diana Ross recently graced the stage at Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City as part of her Beautiful Love Tour, and BOSSIP was there to soak in the magic. From the moment she stepped out, it was clear this would be a night to remember, filled with timeless hits and the unmistakable presence of a true music legend.

A Night of Luxury and Legend

The experience began with a luxurious journey from New York City to the stunning Ocean Casino Resort, a 20-acre property perfectly situated on the Atlantic Ocean. After indulging in exquisite dining at LaScala’s Fire and Ocean Steak, it was time for the main event: the legendary Diana Ross herself!

Taking our seats in a skybox at the 5,500-capacity Ovation Hall, we were perfectly poised to witness the queen’s grand entrance. As the lights dimmed, the iconic opening notes of “I’m Coming Out” filled the air, and the audience, dressed to impress, erupted. Ross appeared in a striking bright orange gown with a voluminous matching duster, her signature voluminous tresses framing her radiant face.

A Career-Spanning Performance

At 81 years young, Diana Ross delivered a performance that spanned her incredible six-decade career. She effortlessly transitioned through beloved hits like “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” and “Upside Down,” alongside classics from her time with The Supremes, including “Stop! In The Name Love” and “You Can’t Hurry Love.” She even took us down the yellow brick road with a rendition of “Ease On Down” from The Wiz.

Ross masterfully engaged the crowd, even asking for the house lights to be turned up so she could see everyone. A particularly sweet moment occurred when she interacted with a fan who presented a photo of them together from years prior, showcasing her genuine connection with her audience.

Family and New Outfits

Adding a special touch to the evening, Ross brought out her eldest daughter, Rhonda Ross, to perform a duet of “Count On Me,” a song written by Rhonda herself. Beaming with pride, Diana gave her daughter the spotlight, who then performed a few of her own songs before her legendary mother returned to the stage – in a dazzling new outfit, of course, because that’s what divas do!

Towards the end of the show, Ross delivered a powerful cover of Gloria Gaynor’s “I Will Survive,” masterfully blended with DJ Khaled’s “All I Do Is Win,” creating an anthem of resilience and triumph.

An Inspiring Icon

The night concluded with more specialty drinks and live music at NOLA’s bar and lounge, but the biggest takeaway was the profound inspiration felt after witnessing an icon who has shattered barriers in music and entertainment for over 60 years and is still going strong. As Tracee Ellis Ross once said, ‘I was raised by a woman who lived out her dreams,’ and seeing Diana Ross command the room and lift spirits in person was a powerful testament to that dream.
