Jimmy Choo Exec Joins Dance Theatre Harlem Board

Exciting news from the world of dance and fashion! The esteemed Dance Theatre of Harlem (DTH) has announced a significant addition to its leadership team: Jaime Wynn, the President of Jimmy Choo Americas, has been appointed to its Board of Directors. This move signals a powerful blend of artistic vision and business acumen for the iconic New York City-based ballet company and school.

A Legacy of Luxury and Growth

Wynn isn’t new to the world of high-end brands. With over 25 years of experience in luxury fashion, she’s a powerhouse in business transformation and brand development. Her impressive career includes senior roles at LVMH, where she led global planning for Marc Jacobs, and The Jones Group, where she played a key role in scaling Ralph Lauren’s licensed business and launching a massive $550 million private-label brand.

Since 2021, Wynn has been at the helm of Jimmy Choo Americas, guiding the brand’s expansion into a full-fledged lifestyle fashion house. Her focus on market leadership, omnichannel strategies, and operational innovation has been instrumental in the brand’s continued success. She initially joined Jimmy Choo in 2016 as Vice President of Sales & Planning, steadily rising through the ranks.

A Pivotal Moment for DTH

Wynn’s appointment comes at a particularly dynamic time for Dance Theatre of Harlem. Under the leadership of Executive Director Anna Glass and Artistic Director Robert Garland, the company is preparing to showcase a remounted version of its signature work, ‘Firebird,’ at the Detroit Opera House this November. This production is especially significant as it marks the piece’s first performance in two decades.

A Shared Vision for Impact

Wynn expressed her enthusiasm for joining the organization, stating, ‘Dance Theatre of Harlem has long stood as a beacon of artistic excellence and Black cultural brilliance. To be invited into this legacy is profoundly meaningful to me.’ She highlighted her belief in the power of creative institutions to uplift voices, foster community, and drive change across generations.

Chairman of the Board Ackneil M. Muldrow III echoed this sentiment, noting that Wynn’s extensive experience and dedication to purpose-driven leadership and equity perfectly align with DTH’s mission. He looks forward to her contributions as the historic institution continues to evolve.

Commitment to Diversity and Community

Beyond her corporate achievements, Wynn is a passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion initiatives. She actively participates in programs like BOLD (Black Organizers, Leaders and Doers) at Capri Holdings and is a member of influential organizations such as the Executive Leadership Council and Black Women on Boards. Her commitment also extends to community service, as she serves on the board of the Food Bank for New York City and was recognized as Berkeley College’s 2024 Alum of the Year.
