The hip-hop world is buzzing! After rebranding himself as NLE The Great, the artist has made a bold statement by dropping a fiery diss track aimed squarely at NBA YoungBoy. This isn’t just any track; it’s a provocative move that’s already dominating online conversations.
A Scathing Attack: ‘KO’ Arrives
Surprising fans on Friday, NLE The Great unleashed “KO,” a track that pulls no punches. The song itself feels like a potent mash-up of iconic diss records, evoking the raw energy of classics like “Hit ‘Em Up.” It’s clear NLE The Great is aiming to make a significant impact with this release.
Released on October 31, 2025, “KO” is designed to provoke a reaction. The accompanying music video takes things a step further, channeling visual styles reminiscent of Michael Jackson but with a shocking twist – NLE The Great is seen holding a beheaded effigy of NBA YoungBoy. This level of imagery is bound to stir controversy.
Will NBA YoungBoy Respond?
The big question on everyone’s mind is whether NBA YoungBoy will retaliate. He’s currently on tour, which might complicate a swift response, but given the direct nature of “KO,” it’s hard to imagine he’ll let this slide without comment. This sets the stage for a potential major hip-hop feud.
Regardless of a response, NLE The Great’s strategy to generate buzz has clearly succeeded. The track and its shocking visuals were the talk of the internet by Thursday evening, proving his intent to be provocative has paid off in terms of attention.
Inside the Lyrics
The lyrics in “KO” are as sharp as the video’s imagery. Lines like “YoungBoy, what? This the big boy league / I put one up in your gut under the Jesus piece” leave no room for misinterpretation about NLE The Great’s intentions.
This diss track is more than just a song; it’s a calculated move in the rap game, designed to grab headlines and assert dominance. It taps into the long tradition of hip-hop rivalries and the power of a well-crafted diss.
YoungBoy, what? This the big boy league
I put one up in your gut under the Jesus piece
Last thing that I heard was, “Jesus, please”
Had me looking at the Devil like, “This is your king” — NLE The Great – ‘KO’
