B.G. Explains Lil Wayne’s Verzuz Absence

Fans were buzzing about the massive Cash Money and No Limit Verzuz battle, but one notable absence had everyone talking: Lil Wayne. While he’s been seen with his Cash Money family on other occasions, Weezy was nowhere to be found at ComplexCon for the highly anticipated event. Now, B.G. is stepping in to clear the air.

During a recent interview on “The Breakfast Club,” B.G. explained that Lil Wayne’s absence wasn’t due to any drama or beef, but rather a health issue. “I talked to Wayne the morning before the Verzuz,” B.G. shared. “Shorty wasn’t feeling good. He had a concert the same night. And he canceled that as well.”

Illness and Hospitalization Cited

B.G. elaborated that Lil Wayne had indeed planned to be there and even informed Swizz Beatz, one of the Verzuz creators, about his situation. “He told me that he wasn’t feeling good and he had to go to the hospital or something like that,” B.G. revealed. He emphasized that people shouldn’t jump to conclusions, suggesting the illness was the genuine reason for his no-show.

The Hot Boy rapper also offered some fatherly advice to his fellow artists, including Lil Wayne, stressing the importance of health, especially after decades in the demanding music industry. “Like I told him, man, we ain’t spring chickens no more. You got to make sure your health… Get your rest, you been running 35 years strong.”

Future Tours and Ongoing Beefs

When asked about the possibility of a Cash Money and No Limit tour, B.G. remained tight-lipped, stating he couldn’t definitively answer. However, he expressed a desire to see Lil Wayne participate and acknowledged that the financial incentive might be appealing, even for artists who are already wealthy.

The interview also touched upon the ongoing tensions between Turk and other Cash Money members, including Birdman, which has led to lawsuits. Birdman himself even called out Turk during the Verzuz event, indicating that the drama within the Cash Money camp is far from over. It remains to be seen how these internal conflicts will affect future collaborations and tours.
