Known for her iconic role on ‘The Parent ‘Hood,’ Gomez is part of an all-star cast in ‘An Unexpected Christmas.’ The film, from 3 Diamonds Films, features Lil Rel Howery, Tabitha Brown, and DomiNque Perry, promising a blend of holiday cheer, family drama, and plenty of love. “We come back together as a family at the end,” Gomez shared, expressing her pride in the project.
The Soundtrack and Release Details
Mark your calendars! ‘An Unexpected Christmas’ is set to hit theaters on November 7th. Adding to the festive vibe, the movie boasts an amazing soundtrack, featuring a lead single by October London and a track from Tamar Braxton. Gomez raved, “The soundtrack is out, and it’s amazing.”
Saying Goodbye to ‘The Chi’
Beyond her film work, Gomez reflected on her time playing Candice in the critically acclaimed series ‘The Chi.’ She expressed immense gratitude for the show’s longevity, especially for a series focused on a Black city. “Seeing everyone’s beautiful faces on set every day was such a gift,” she said, admitting that saying goodbye to her character and the cast was an emotional experience.
She’s proud to have been part of a show that achieved an impressive eight seasons, a rarity in today’s television landscape. Gomez is confident that her castmates and the show itself will continue to achieve great things.
