The drama between Celina Powell and BMF actor Lil Meech continues to unfold, with Powell now vehemently denying any ongoing connection to the actor after his legal team threatened a lawsuit. Powell has publicly labeled Meech a ‘weirdo’ and urged people to stop bothering her about him.
Powell Denies Relationship, Calls Meech a ‘Weirdo’
Following a viral interview on the ‘We In Miami Podcast’ where Powell made claims about her relationship with Lil Meech, his attorney sent a legal letter threatening action. In response, Powell took to social media to set the record straight. “I have nothing to do with that weirdo Demetrius aka meme (Lil Meech to y’all). Please leave me alone about him,” she wrote.
She even agreed with singer Summer Walker’s recent comments about Meech’s life being ‘terrible,’ further emphasizing her desire to distance herself. Powell added that her only remaining connection to him was the money she had spent on him.
The Lawyer’s Letter and Powell’s Past Claims
The legal letter from Lil Meech’s attorney explicitly denied any romantic or intimate relationship between him and Powell. It stated that Powell’s claims were “knowingly false, defamatory, and malicious,” causing “substantial reputational harm, distress, and damage” to Meech’s career and business opportunities.
This comes after Powell previously shared clips, including one of Meech seemingly begging her to retract her statements. In that alleged phone call, Meech appeared to apologize for his words and asked Powell to delete her posts, citing damage to his reputation.
Denials and Defamation Allegations
Powell’s current stance directly contradicts her earlier claims of a relationship and sharing alleged evidence of Meech’s financial struggles and personal issues. The attorney’s letter asserts that Meech has “never engaged in a romantic or intimate relationship with Ms. Powell” and that her representations were made with “actual malice and reckless disregard for the truth.”
With Powell now publicly disavowing any connection and labeling Meech a ‘weirdo,’ the situation remains tense. The threat of a lawsuit highlights the serious nature of defamation claims in the public eye.
