Cam’ron Sues J. Cole Over ‘Ready ’24’ Collab

It looks like there’s some drama brewing in the hip-hop world! Cam’ron has officially filed a lawsuit against J. Cole, alleging that the Dreamville rapper didn’t hold up his end of a deal related to their 2024 collaboration, “Ready ’24.”

The Alleged Agreement Breakdown

According to legal documents, Cam’ron claims he laid down a verse for “Ready ’24” back in 2022. The understanding was that J. Cole would reciprocate by either featuring on another project with Cam or appearing as a guest on Cam’s podcast, “It Is What It Is.”

However, Cam alleges that for the past two years, J. Cole has consistently dodged the podcast appearance, citing scheduling conflicts. Furthermore, Cam claims that all attempts at securing a separate collaboration promised have been brushed aside.

Seeking Compensation and Credit

Adding insult to injury, Cam’ron states he hasn’t received any payment for his contribution to the track. He’s now asking a judge to officially recognize him as a co-author of “Ready ’24.”

Beyond co-author credit, Cam is demanding a full financial accounting of the song’s earnings, estimating that it has already generated over $500,000. The track, featured on J. Cole’s mixtape “Might Delete Later,” has already garnered over three million views on YouTube.

As of now, J. Cole has not publicly commented on the lawsuit. This legal action brings a new layer to the story behind this high-profile collaboration.
