Ever since breakout Dallas artist 4Batz dropped his latest tracks, there’s been a buzz about him potentially signing with Drake’s OVO label. Well, the artist himself recently sat down on The Baller Alert Show to set the record straight, and let’s just say things aren’t quite what they seemed!
What Really Happened with Drake?
During a chat with hosts BT and Ferrari Simmons, the question everyone’s been asking finally came up. They asked 4Batz directly about the confusion surrounding his signing, mentioning the rumors that he was signed to Drake, then wasn’t, and then signed elsewhere.
4Batz didn’t hold back, explaining that there was indeed a plan in place. “Actually, we were supposed to have, you know, a sit-down where we was going to sign together,” he revealed. He added that while Drake is still his “boy” and he has love for him, the deal simply didn’t materialize as expected.
Staying Independent All Along
The artist elaborated that the initial plan involved working on an album together. However, when those specific plans fell through, 4Batz made it clear that he remained independent throughout the entire period of speculation. “I was independent the whole time,” he stated firmly.
So, the takeaway is this: while there was a serious discussion and intention to sign with Drake, the agreement never officially went through. 4Batz wants fans to know that he hasn’t been signed under Drake’s label and has maintained his independent status.
