Kamala Harris Hints at 2028 Presidential Run

Could we see Kamala Harris back on the presidential campaign trail? In a recent interview, the former Vice President hinted that her political story is far from over, leaving the door open for a potential run in 2028. She also didn’t hold back in her criticism of billionaires she believes are aligning themselves with Donald Trump.

Hinting at a Future Presidential Bid

Speaking with the BBC for their “Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg” program, Harris suggested she might “possibly” be the next president, stating, “I am not done.” She emphasized that public service is deeply ingrained in her, despite facing polling challenges and scrutiny. “If I listened to polls I would have not run for my first office, or my second office – and I certainly wouldn’t be sitting here.”

When directly asked about a potential 2028 run, Harris stopped short of a definitive confirmation but made her strongest indication yet of her ambitions. Her comments suggest she’s actively considering a comeback, even with long odds.

Criticism of Trump and Corporate America

Harris didn’t shy away from criticizing Donald Trump, whom she labeled a “tyrant” who has “weaponized the Department of Justice” and cannot handle criticism. She referenced an incident where a Trump-appointed regulator threatened ABC, leading to Jimmy Kimmel’s suspension, stating, “His skin is so thin he couldn’t endure criticism from a joke, and attempted to shut down an entire media organization in the process.”

Her critique extended to corporate leaders, accusing them of “bending the knee at the foot of a tyrant.” Harris believes these business leaders are capitulating to Trump for personal gain, such as securing mergers or avoiding investigations. She alluded to initiatives like #Project2025 as evidence of this alignment.

White House Responds

Following the interview’s traction, a White House spokesperson issued a sharp response. “When Kamala Harris lost the election in a landslide, she should’ve taken the hint; the American people don’t care about her absurd lies,” the spokesperson stated, dismissing her comments as “grievances to foreign publications.”

Regardless of the White House’s reaction, Harris appears determined to remain a significant voice in the political landscape. “I have lived my entire career as a life of service,” she affirmed, suggesting her commitment to public life is unwavering.
