DJ Akademiks Addresses Ozempic Rumors

DJ Akademiks has been noticeably slimmer lately, sparking widespread speculation that he might be using the popular weight-loss drug Ozempic. However, the hip-hop pundit is setting the record straight, assuring fans that his transformation is the result of hard work and healthy habits, not a quick fix.

Denying Ozempic Use

The rumors gained traction after Akademiks appeared slimmer during a livestream with Adin Ross. When questioned about his weight loss, Akademiks clarified, “I’m working out and learning to eat good.” He even playfully jabbed back at Ross, adding, “and not drinking lean like you.”

Despite his direct explanation, the speculation persisted, even surfacing at ComplexCon over the weekend. During a conversation with streamer DDG, Akademiks reiterated his stance, saying, “Man, they think I’m on Ozempic, n****, not gon’ hold you.” He expressed frustration with the persistent rumors.

Defending Weight Loss Methods

Akademiks also questioned the negative stigma surrounding Ozempic, especially for those struggling with significant weight issues. He shared his own past health struggles, admitting, “I was big as f*ck and fat as f*ck and I’m finna die ‘cause — I had breathing problems. I was that fat, n****.” He wondered why people wouldn’t applaud efforts to improve health, regardless of the method used.

DDG agreed with Akademiks’ sentiment, calling the judgment “f*cked up.” While the rumors may continue to circulate, Akademiks hopes his commitment to a healthier lifestyle will eventually be recognized. He’s also been dealing with legal matters, including a second deposition related to the Megan Thee Stallion lawsuit against blogger Milagro Gramz, which he noted went more smoothly than the first.
