LeBron James Building Two Mega-Mansions in Beverly Hills

LeBron James, already a legend on the basketball court, is making equally impressive moves off it. The Los Angeles Lakers star has reportedly embarked on an ambitious construction project, planning to build two sprawling mansions on his expansive Beverly Hills estate. This move solidifies his status as a major player in the luxury real estate market.

A Grand Vision for a Prime Property

Back in 2020, James acquired the prime piece of land for a cool $37 million. Upon purchase, the existing 1930s-era home was razed to make way for his vision. Now, after securing the necessary permissions, the 2.72-acre property is slated to be split into two distinct plots, each destined to host a luxurious mansion.

Construction on this grand compound began in 2023. The plans reveal a significant undertaking: one mansion will span nearly 16,000 square feet over two stories, complete with an impressive 7,700-square-foot basement garage and a separate two-level garage on the ground floor. Outdoor amenities will include a pool, spa, and an outdoor kitchen, all topped off with solar panels on the roof.

Second Home and Future Plans

The second residence, while slightly smaller at 6,550 square feet, will still be a single-story marvel. It’s designed to include a basement movie theater, an entertainment area, and a ground-level two-car garage. Outdoor living is emphasized with a terrace featuring hot and cold plunge pools, and a spacious courtyard already boasting mature palm trees.

While initially reported as the primary family residence for LeBron, his wife Savannah, and their three children (Bronny, Bryce, and Zhuri), speculation now suggests the second home might be intended for his son, Bronny, who is entering the NBA. This potential arrangement highlights the family’s deep connection to the property.

A Record-Breaking Season Ahead

Beyond his real estate ventures, LeBron James is also on the cusp of breaking another NBA record. Currently tied with Vince Carter for playing 22 seasons, his return to the court this season (following an injury) will mark him as the first player in league history to play for 23 seasons. He expressed his excitement for another year, acknowledging that the end is near but remaining fully invested in the journey.

What do you think of LeBron James’ massive real estate project? Does it surprise you, or is it exactly what you’d expect from ‘King James’? Share your thoughts in the comments!
