Kim Kardashian: ‘Stockholm Syndrome’ in Kanye Marriage

Kim Kardashian is sharing some deeply personal insights into her marriage with Kanye West, the father of her four children. In a candid revelation during the premiere of Season 7 of “The Kardashians,” Kim claims she experienced symptoms akin to Stockholm Syndrome throughout their union.

Understanding Stockholm Syndrome

Kim expressed that she felt she had been hiding this feeling for a long time. She described it as always feeling bad for Kanye and having a strong desire to protect him. For context, Stockholm Syndrome isn’t a formal diagnosis but rather describes an emotional response where victims develop positive feelings towards their captor or abuser.

The couple, who married in 2014, share children North (12), Saint (9), Chicago (7), and Psalm (6). They officially divorced in 2021, and Kim notes a significant improvement in her health since their separation.

Health Improvements Post-Divorce

Kim revealed that her psoriasis, a condition she’s dealt with, completely disappeared after her divorce. However, she noted its recent return, seemingly linking it to stress caused by Kanye, whom she refers to as ‘Ye’.

She elaborated, stating, “I felt more stressed, probably just because I had to super, super protect what I had to protect.” This suggests a constant pressure she felt during the marriage to shield her family and perhaps Kanye himself.

Addressing Child Custody Claims

Kim also addressed Kanye’s public accusations that she is keeping their children from him. She firmly stated, “It’s a divorce, not a kidnapping.” Kim clarified that they haven’t moved and still share the same address, ensuring Kanye knows the children’s whereabouts.
