Megan Thee Stallion Drops New Single ‘Lover Girl’ Oct. 24

Mark your calendars, Hotties! Megan Thee Stallion is dropping a brand-new single, and the wait is almost over. After teasing fans with snippets on social media, the rap superstar has officially announced that ‘Lover Girl’ will be available everywhere on Friday, October 24th.

A Sweet Sample and Fan Speculation

The upcoming track samples the iconic 1996 R&B hit ‘Kissin’ You’ by Total, adding a nostalgic yet fresh vibe to Megan’s signature sound. Early teasers have fans buzzing, with lyrics like, “My man, my man, my man, my baby, my baby / D**kin’ me down, spoiling me, driving me crazy,” leading many to believe the song is inspired by her relationship with Dallas Mavericks star Klay Thompson.

Megan herself confirmed the release date with a playful Instagram post featuring a red, heart-shaped lollipop with “10/24” emblazoned on it. The caption simply read: “LOVER GIRL FRIDAY.” Fans flooded the comments section with excitement, with one user exclaiming, “GIRL FINALLY!! WHAT THE HECK?!?” Another added, “Yay! I don’t even have a man tho, but who cares! We streaming.”

A Happy Relationship

Megan and Klay Thompson confirmed their relationship earlier this year and even made their red carpet debut at the Pete & Thomas Foundation Gala. Megan has spoken openly about how happy Klay makes her, describing him as “genuinely a nice person” and her “first relationship where I’ve ever been with somebody who’s genuinely a nice person.” It seems this new chapter is bringing her a lot of joy, which might just translate into her music.

Working on Her Third Studio Album

Beyond the new single, Megan Thee Stallion is hard at work on her highly anticipated third studio album, referred to as ‘ACT III.’ She previously confirmed the project was in the works, hinting that she’s carefully considering her collaborations. With ‘Lover Girl’ dropping soon, fans have even more reason to be excited about what’s next from the Grammy-winning artist.
