It seems Lil Meech is taking legal action to set the record straight. His legal team has officially responded to recent claims made by influencer Celina Powell about their alleged relationship, asserting that her statements have caused significant “reputational harm.”
Denying Relationship Claims and Alleging Malice
The situation escalated after Powell appeared on the “We In Miami” podcast, where she discussed her interactions with the “BMF” actor. She claimed that Lil Meech had expressed a desire for a romantic relationship but felt he couldn’t pursue it publicly due to her reputation. Powell also stated that she had faced online backlash after posting a picture of Lil Meech getting a haircut.
In response, Lil Meech’s lawyer, Elysa Galloway, issued a formal demand for retraction and public notice to the podcast. The notice explicitly states, “Ms. Powell falsely claimed an ongoing romantic relationship with the Claimant and referenced alleged past interactions that are entirely untrue.” Galloway further asserted that Powell’s remarks were made with “actual malice and reckless disregard for the truth.”
Seeking to Protect Professional Reputation
The legal notice emphasizes that Powell’s statements have “caused and continue to cause substantial reputational harm, distress, and damage to Lil Meech’s professional relationships.” The legal team confirmed that a separate letter was also sent directly to Powell, though details were not elaborated upon. Powell herself has not yet publicly responded to the legal action.
This move by Lil Meech’s legal team aims to counter the narrative Powell has been building, particularly given her history of making controversial claims about public figures. By issuing a formal legal notice, they are taking a strong stance to protect his image and professional standing in the entertainment industry.
