Halle Bailey & DDG’s Restraining Order Extended

The legal proceedings involving singer Halle Bailey and rapper DDG are continuing. A restraining order that was originally set to expire this month has now been extended by a judge, keeping protections in place for the time being.

Hearing Postponed for Agreement Finalization

Court documents indicate that both Halle Bailey and DDG’s legal teams requested a postponement of their upcoming hearing. The reason? They are reportedly working to finalize an agreement. The judge granted this request, ensuring that all current temporary protective orders remain active until the new court date on November 5, 2025.

This extension means that the legal status quo will continue for the couple, who share a young son named Halo. The focus seems to be on reaching a resolution outside of a contentious court battle.

Allegations of Abuse and Control

Halle Bailey, known for her role in ‘The Little Mermaid,’ initially sought the restraining order back in June. She alleged that her ex-partner, whose real name is Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., exhibited violent, controlling, and abusive behavior throughout their relationship. Bailey claimed he was “physically, verbally, emotionally, and financially abusive.”

In her court filings, Bailey detailed specific incidents, including an alleged event where DDG pulled her hair and slammed her face into a steering wheel, resulting in a chipped tooth. She also submitted photographic evidence of bruising and injuries, which have since been shared publicly.

Relationship Timeline and Public Breakup

Bailey, 24, and DDG, 27, were reportedly together from 2022 until early 2024. Their son, Halo, celebrated his first birthday earlier this year. The end of their relationship has been quite public, with both artists making indirect references to each other on social media platforms.

Recently, DDG has claimed that Bailey has been limiting his access to their son. The restraining order will continue to be active until the November court date, when the situation is expected to be further addressed.
