WNBA All-Star Game Heads to Chicago

Get ready, Chicago! The WNBA has officially announced that the Windy City will be the host for the 2026 AT&T WNBA All-Star Game. This marks the second time the league’s brightest stars will descend upon Chicago, with the game set to take place at the Wintrust Arena, the home of the Chicago Sky, on July 25.

A Celebration of the Game

WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert expressed her excitement about bringing the event back to Chicago. “The WNBA is thrilled to bring AT&T WNBA All-Star back to Chicago, which will undoubtedly deliver unforgettable competition and community outreach,” she stated. “Together with the Chicago Sky, we look forward to celebrating the game’s brightest stars, engaging WNBA fans around the world, and showcasing the energy of one of basketball’s most iconic cities.”

The choice of Chicago is fitting, especially with the presence of Sky center Angel Reese. By 2026, Reese will be entering her third year in the league, likely as one of the most popular and recognizable players, adding even more star power to the event.

More Than Just a Game

The All-Star Weekend promises to be more than just the main matchup. Several events are planned throughout the weekend to engage fans and the Chicago community. WNBA Live, described as the league’s interactive fan festival, will showcase players and offer interactive experiences, including elements of fashion, music, and culture, all taking place at McCormick Place.

Fans can also look forward to the thrilling 3-Point Contest and the Kia WNBA Skills Challenge, which are scheduled for the day before the All-Star Game on Friday, July 24. These events add extra excitement and showcase the incredible talent across the league.

Building on Success

Adam Fox, CEO and President of the Chicago Sky, shared his enthusiasm, stating, “The Chicago Sky [is] thrilled to welcome the 2026 WNBA All-Star game back to Chicago. We can’t wait to build on the success of the previous All-Star game and celebrate the explosive growth of the league by showcasing the WNBA’s biggest stars on a world-class stage.” He also expressed excitement about welcoming fans globally to their “beautiful city with its storied basketball legacy.”

More details regarding the full schedule of events and ticketing information will be released in the coming months, with tickets for all events going on sale in 2026. This promises to be a landmark event for the WNBA and a fantastic showcase for the city of Chicago.
