Kevin Hart is pushing the boundaries of entertainment by merging comedy with cutting-edge artificial intelligence. His production company, Hartbeat, has teamed up with Luma AI to launch “Prompt Side Story,” a unique live film competition that puts AI-powered creativity to the test.
Creativity Meets Technology in a Live Showdown
Hosted by comedian King Willonius (Will Hatcher), this innovative event brings together five teams of creators. They’ll face a ticking clock at LA Tech Week, tasked with producing original short films using Luma AI’s Dream Machine and Ray3 systems. The audience gets a front-row seat to witness the entire creative process unfold in real-time, with a panel of judges ultimately deciding the winner.
“With Prompt Side Story, we’re merging the hilarity of comedy with the limitless creativity of AI,” stated Jeff Clanagan, President and Chief Distribution Officer at Hartbeat. “Partnering with Luma AI allows us to demonstrate what happens when powerful storytelling tools meet fast-thinking creators.”
The Future of Comedy and Filmmaking
Luma AI’s Co-Founder and CEO, Amit Jain, emphasized the speed at which creativity operates today. “Hartbeat understands that creativity moves at the speed of culture. Our goal is to give storytellers technology that moves just as fast,” Jain commented. This collaboration signifies a bold step into the future, where human humor and machine imagination converge.
The winning films from “Prompt Side Story” will be showcased on Hartbeat’s LOL Network, offering a glimpse into the evolving landscape of content creation. This initiative underscores a growing trend of leveraging AI to enhance and accelerate creative processes in the entertainment industry.
