Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ release from his 50-month federal prison sentence will come with a significant set of conditions. His five years of supervised release will include mandatory treatment programs, strict restrictions, and zero tolerance for weapons, as outlined in court documents filed this week.
Mandatory Treatment and Counseling
Upon completion of his sentence, Diddy will be required to undergo outpatient treatment for both drug addiction and mental health issues. He must also adhere to any prescribed medication unless directed otherwise by his doctor. Furthermore, the judgment mandates his participation in a domestic violence program, a condition that follows the disturbing release of footage showing him assaulting Cassie Ventura in 2016.
These programs are not optional; they are mandatory components of his supervised release, indicating a focus on rehabilitation and addressing the underlying issues contributing to his legal troubles.
Weapons Ban and Facility Request
In addition to treatment, Diddy’s freedom will be severely restricted regarding firearms. He is prohibited from owning or having access to any weapons or explosive devices. This condition stems from the discovery of guns with scratched-off serial numbers during raids on his properties in Miami, New York, and Los Angeles.
Diddy was convicted on two counts of violating the Mann Act, though he was acquitted of sex trafficking and racketeering charges. His legal team has requested that he serve his sentence at FCI Fort Dix, a low-security facility in New Jersey, to remain closer to New York City. While he has not yet been assigned to a specific facility, the stringent conditions of his eventual release are clear.
