Claressa Shields: I’m Submissive To My Man Papoose

Don’t let the muscles fool you! Boxing sensation Claressa Shields, known for her fierce power in the ring, revealed a softer, more submissive side when it comes to her relationship with rapper Papoose. Shields shared these intimate details during a recent social media live session.

Tough in the Ring, Submissive at Home

Shields emphasized that while she possesses incredible strength and fighting skills, her dynamic with Papoose is different. ‘I talk to my man like a king,’ she stated on the livestream, gesturing to show her physique. ‘I may have the muscles… And I may know how to fight, but I’m very submissive to my man.’

The 30-year-old athlete attributes this dynamic to the quality of her partner. She expressed that Papoose is a ‘good man’ who takes excellent care of her, which is why she embraces this submissive role. While she admits to occasionally getting ‘smart’ with him, she maintains that he always receives ‘king treatment,’ even during arguments.

Celebrating a Year of Love Amidst Controversy

The couple recently celebrated their one-year dating anniversary, a milestone Shields marked with a heartfelt Instagram post calling Papoose her ‘rock’ and ‘partner in crime.’ However, their relationship has faced some scrutiny, as Papoose is reportedly still legally married to rapper Remy Ma, with their divorce pending. They married in 2008 and allegedly separated in 2024.

Despite any external comments, Shields remains focused on their relationship and future plans. She has openly expressed a desire to have children with Papoose, even tweeting about wanting ‘4 kids,’ which caused a stir given the ongoing divorce proceedings.

Future Family Plans

Papoose currently has a daughter, Reminisce Mackenzie, with Remy Ma, and three other children from previous relationships. Should Shields and Papoose decide to start their own family, the couple would certainly have a blended family with a total of seven children. For now, Shields seems happy and focused on her relationship, embodying a balance of strength and devotion.
