NeNe Leakes Accuses Lisa Vanderpump of Stealing

Ouch! It seems like there’s some serious shade being thrown between reality TV queens. NeNe Leakes, the former star of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, is calling out Lisa Vanderpump, accusing her of swiping a business idea and a prime West Hollywood location that eventually became Vanderpump’s famous restaurant, Pump.

The Alleged Betrayal Unfolds

During a recent appearance on the Talk and Block podcast, NeNe detailed how she believes Vanderpump manipulated her out of securing the space. At the time, NeNe and her late husband Gregg were living in Doheny Estates while she was busy filming TV shows like Glee and The New Normal. Driving through West Hollywood, she spotted an empty lot near The Abbey and thought it would be the perfect spot for a bar.

Seeking advice, NeNe reached out to Vanderpump, who she considered a friend. According to NeNe, Lisa downplayed the opportunity, calling the space a “piece of crap” and too expensive. “She talked me [out of it], and went and got it [herself],” NeNe claimed, clearly still upset about the situation.

NeNe’s Reaction to ‘Pump’

NeNe didn’t hold back her feelings, calling Vanderpump’s alleged actions “so f–ked up.” She expressed her shock and disbelief when she saw the restaurant open in the very spot she had her eye on. “The next thing I know, [she opened] Pump [there]. I was like, is this b–h serious?” she exclaimed.

Adding insult to injury, NeNe stated that Vanderpump never offered an apology for the incident. She feels Lisa simply gives her a strange look, as if acknowledging that NeNe knows what happened. NeNe even went as far as to dub her former friend “Vander-lump” in light of the alleged deceit.

Pump’s Legacy

Pump restaurant became a major hotspot and a central location for storylines on Vanderpump Rules before ultimately closing its doors in 2023. While the restaurant may be gone, the drama surrounding its origins is clearly still very much alive for NeNe Leakes.
