The ongoing public exchange between Cam’ron and Dame Dash has taken a new turn, with Cam’ron responding forcefully to Dash’s criticisms of his career. The Dipset member didn’t hold back, labeling Dash “emotional” and questioning his decision to disrespect his family on television.
Cam’ron’s IG Response
Cam’ron took to Instagram to address Dash’s comments, which included remarks about Cam’s career since leaving Roc-A-Fella. His first post featured a graphic reading “All this because ‘Honor Up’ was wack,” accompanied by a laughing emoji, referencing Dash’s 2018 film. The subsequent slides included a photo of Dash missing his front teeth, a clip from ‘It Is What It Is’ where Dash and Ma$e laughed about it, and a snippet from a rap battle where Loaded Lux famously called Dash “emotional.”
In his caption, Cam’ron wrote, “Damn big bro. I thought we was snapping. My bad sincerely if u mad. But I’m glad you got that off ya chest. But me emotional?! Never dat. I think you a lil emotional and I get it.” He also questioned Dash’s associates, stating, “Cause whoever you around is a wack *ninja emoji* for letting you do that interview in that condition. I woulda never let you get on camera like that.” Cam’ron concluded his initial post with an apology and a promise to promote Dash’s work, though the specific content he chose to highlight might further antagonize Dash.
Questioning Familial Disrespect
Cam’ron then shared a clip from ‘Growing Up Hip Hop’ showing Dame Dash arguing with his son Boogie and daughter Ava. The interaction became tense, with Dash calling Boogie a “clown” before walking out. Cam’ron commented on this, writing, “Damn if this how how you talk to ya kids on TV, none of [us] have a chance out here for a peaceful convo *facepalm emoji*.” He also addressed Dash’s claims of disrespecting his family: “And don’t change the narrative saying I’m disrespecting ya family. Cause I love ya family like I love you. But if you call ya kids ‘clowns’ what u think of anyone else *shrug emoji*”
Additionally, Cam’ron called out Dash for misrepresenting his relationship with REVOLT, clarifying that he only licenses his show to the platform, which he owns. He countered Dash’s comments about his career by noting that Dash appeared on ‘Growing Up Hip Hop’ as WEtv talent, suggesting he likely didn’t earn much from it.
The Spark of the Feud
The tension between Dame Dash and Cam’ron initially escalated after Cam’ron’s recent statements on ‘Talk With Flee.’ He expressed his disapproval of a past argument between Dash and Ma$e, as well as an alleged incident where 50 Cent smacked Dash. Cam’ron had invited Dash onto his show to discuss their issues, but Dash instead addressed Cam’ron on ‘Bosses Take Losses,’ criticizing his public comments and claiming Cam’ron doesn’t pick up his calls.
Dash also slammed Cam’ron for not having a hit record since leaving Roc-A-Fella, reigniting their long-standing rivalry. The exchange highlights the complex dynamics and history between these influential figures in hip-hop.
