NBA Youngboy Kicks Off Tour with $50K Donation

Following a week of giving back in New Orleans, NBA Youngboy is continuing his commitment to community support by kicking off his highly anticipated “Make America Slime Again” (MASA) Tour in Dallas. The 24-year-old Baton Rouge rapper made a substantial donation of $50,000 to two Dallas-based non-profits dedicated to peace, justice, and community transformation.

Supporting Peace and Justice in Dallas

The generous donation was split evenly, with $25,000 going to Manifest Freedom, an organization founded by attorney Brittany K. Barnett. Manifest Freedom focuses on supporting entrepreneurs and creatives who have been impacted by incarceration, providing them with pathways to stability and success. Notable beneficiaries include the Sotelo Brothers, Fort Worth natives who received clemency from President Donald Trump and now operate their family restaurant, Tia’s on the Bluff.

The remaining $25,000 was donated to Urban Specialists, a national non-profit organization committed to reducing violence, training leaders, and fostering safer neighborhoods. Urban Specialists has established a strong presence in Dallas, working directly with individuals most affected by systemic inequities and cycles of crime.

A Tour with Purpose

NBA Youngboy expressed that these donations are more than just symbolic gestures; they represent a desire to use his platform for tangible change. “I just want to start this tour on something real,” he stated. “This is bigger than music—it’s about peace, growth, and giving people a real chance to change their lives.”

The MASA Tour, which includes sold-out shows at the American Airlines Center in Dallas and features artists like Offset, No Cap, DeeBaby, and Mellow Rackz, marks a significant expansion of YoungBoy’s reach. While he has consistently dominated streaming charts, this tour signifies his first major nationwide arena run, blending artistic visibility with community engagement.

Shifting Focus to Legacy and Impact

Both Manifest Freedom and Urban Specialists plan to allocate these funds towards youth programs, family support, and initiatives designed to break cycles of incarceration. Their work has garnered national recognition for its impact on justice and empowerment in underserved communities. By aligning his tour’s launch with grassroots philanthropy, NBA Youngboy is signaling a shift towards building a legacy focused on impact, reframing success beyond just chart numbers and industry recognition.
