Jamie Foxx, known for his incredible range of celebrity impressions, has once again wowed his fans. This time, the Oscar-winning actor took to Instagram to share a spot-on impression of hip-hop icon Busta Rhymes, and the internet is absolutely loving it. The video, posted on Wednesday, August 27, showcases Foxx’s mastery of mimicry, capturing Busta’s signature voice and energetic demeanor.
A Tribute That’s ‘Too Real’
In the video, Foxx, rocking shades and sitting in his car, perfectly channels Busta Rhymes’ iconic flow. He delivers lines with the same energy and vocal inflections as the “What’s It Gonna Be” hitmaker, making it hard to distinguish between the impression and the real deal. Foxx captioned the post, “Peace to Tha god been working on this one for a minute. It’s a tribute. Because he’s my dear friend I hope I did you justice…”
The dedication and effort Foxx put into perfecting this impression are evident, proving his skills are as sharp as ever. It’s a testament to his deep respect for Busta Rhymes and his artistry.
Social Media Goes Wild
The reaction on social media has been overwhelmingly positive, with fans flooding The Shade Room’s comments section with praise. Many agreed that Jamie Foxx is unparalleled when it comes to celebrity impressions, calling him “one of one” and the “GOAT” of impersonations. Comments like “I never seen an impersonation from Jamie that wasn’t on 🎯” and “The most talented Guy out there hands down 🔥” highlight the widespread admiration for his talent.
Fans also noted his versatility, with one commenter pointing out, “It’s the fact he can do guys AND girls that’s undeniable talent. His Jennifer Hudson on Jimmy Fallon is crazy.” This latest impression further solidifies Jamie Foxx’s status as a master entertainer.
A Summer of Gratitude and Reflection
This impressive impression comes after a summer where Foxx has openly shared his gratitude for life following a health scare last year. At the 2025 BET Awards, he accepted the Ultimate Icon Award and emotionally spoke about his near-fatal stroke, emphasizing his second chance at life. He credited his daughter Anelise’s guitar playing in his hospital room for keeping his vitals steady and thanked his daughter Corinne for her unwavering support during his recovery.
