Get ready, rap fans! Playboi Carti has officially announced his “Antagonist Tour,” a massive 29-city arena run that marks his first solo headlining tour since 2021. Promoted by Live Nation, the tour is set to kick off on October 3 in Salt Lake City and will conclude on December 1 in Atlanta.
A Tour Fueled by Chart-Topping Success
This tour comes on the heels of Carti’s critically acclaimed second album, “MUSIC,” which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. The album has achieved massive success, selling nearly 300,000 units in its first week and accumulating over 3 billion streams globally. Rolling Stone hailed it as a “rap-reconfiguring album,” while Billboard recognized Carti as “one of the most distinctive voices in rap.”
Notably, every track from “MUSIC” charted on the Billboard Hot 100, making Carti the first rapper in history to simultaneously have 30 songs on the chart. This level of success underscores the immense anticipation for his live performances.
Featuring the Opium Collective
The “Antagonist Tour” isn’t just about Playboi Carti; it’s a showcase for his entire Opium collective. Fans can expect to see performances from Ken Carson, Destroy Lonely, and Homixide Gang on every date. This lineup represents a significant force in contemporary rap, with each artist bringing their unique “rage rap” sound and considerable buzz.
Ken Carson is fresh off his own Billboard 200 No. 1 album, Destroy Lonely has achieved two consecutive Top 10 charting albums, and Homixide Gang continues to push the boundaries of the genre with their latest project, “Homixide Lifestyle 2.”
