Ruth E. Carter Receives Inaugural Award
Ruth E. Carter will be the very first recipient of the newly established Ann Lowe Maverick Award. Showcasing Visionary Designers and Industry Leaders
The event, with celebrity stylist Ugo Mozie serving as creative director, will also showcase the work of three visionary designers: LaTouché, known for progressive structuring; Atelier Ndgigo by Waina Chancy, celebrated for elegance and chic tailoring; and Daveed Baptiste, whose label blends Haitian heritage, streetwear, and experimental textiles.
In addition to Carter, the Style Awards will present the Impact Award to Christiane Pendarvis, co-CEO of Pattern Beauty. Nikki Ogunnaike, editor-in-chief of Marie Claire, will receive the Editor of the Year Award, and dynamic stylist Jason Bolden will be honored as Stylist of the Year for his work with numerous A-list clients.
