You won’t believe this story! R&B crooner Giveon recently stopped by The Baller Alert Show and shared a truly hilarious tale from his early days on tour. It turns out, his first experience with Atlanta’s legendary Magic City was… well, not quite what he expected!
A Culinary Quest Gone Wrong
Back in 2019, Giveon was touring with Snoh Aalegra and found himself in Atlanta, looking for a place to eat. When he asked for recommendations, everyone kept pointing him towards Magic City Wings. Now, imagine this: Giveon, who had never been to a strip club before, pictured a family-friendly restaurant, maybe even one with some dinner entertainment like magic tricks!
“I thought someone was gonna pop out a little car or something,” he recalled with a laugh. He was clearly expecting a different kind of magic show entirely!
Strippers, Poles, and No Appetizers
Upon arriving at the iconic Magic City, Giveon’s expectations quickly shifted. He started noticing the stripper poles and the dancers, leading him to wonder if they were the servers. This was his very first, and so far, only visit to a strip club, making the experience even more memorable (and awkward!).
And the famous wings? After all the anticipation and the unexpected surroundings, they took a whopping 45 minutes to arrive. By then, Giveon admitted, he wasn’t even hungry anymore. Talk about a lesson learned – not all magic is suitable for family dinner!
