Ever feel like your job is intense? Well, buckle up, because the upcoming sci-fi thriller ‘Cold Storage’ is about to make your workday look like a walk in the park! Directed by Jonny Campbell and penned by the legendary David Koepp (yes, the ‘Jurassic Park’ and ‘Mission: Impossible’ writer!), this film looks like it’s going to be a wild ride.
A Mutating Fungus Threatens Humanity
The premise is chilling: two young employees and a seasoned bioterror operative are tasked with containing a highly contagious, mutating fungus that has escaped from a top-secret, sealed facility. If this biohazard spreads, well, let’s just say the trailer hints that you’re dead. Talk about a high-stakes night shift!
The film blends pulse-pounding action with serious horror elements, and the teaser trailer perfectly captures that tense atmosphere. It’s short, sharp, and leaves you with a sense of dread, setting the stage for what could be one of the most thrilling outbreak films in years.
Star Power in the Face of Disaster
The cast alone is enough to get excited about! Joe Keery, known for his role in ‘Stranger Things,’ and Georgina Campbell from ‘Barbarian’ play the unlucky employees caught in the middle of this escalating crisis. They’re the ones trying to keep this fast-evolving biohazard contained.
And who better to play the seasoned operative ready to do whatever it takes to prevent global annihilation than Liam Neeson? The action star is back in his element, ready to tackle this terrifying threat. The trailer gives us a glimpse of his character’s no-nonsense approach, promising plenty of Neeson-style action.
Coming Soon to Theaters
While the teaser trailer is out now, ‘Cold Storage’ is slated for a 2026 release and will be exclusively in theaters. The filmmakers are clearly aiming for a big-screen experience, and based on the trailer, it’s easy to see why. Comparisons to ‘Zombieland’ meets ‘Contagion’ with a dash of ‘Jurassic Park’ chaos are already being made, and honestly, that sounds like a winning combination!
