  • 13-Year-Old Launches ‘Yes Day’ Skincare

Get ready for some serious skincare inspiration! Thirteen-year-old Coco Granderson has launched her very own skincare line, aptly named ‘Yes Day,’ specifically designed for young faces. What makes this even more exciting? She’s partnered with a renowned chemist who helped build Hailey Bieber’s popular brand, Rhode.

    A Teen’s Vision, Expertly Crafted

Coco, who self-funded her venture, brought in cosmetic chemist Ron Robinson, known for his work with Rhode. Robinson, who now holds an equity stake and is a co-owner, saw the passion and potential in Coco’s mission to create skincare tailored for teens. “I wanted to help these young consumers build a healthy routine around maintaining their barrier, hydrating, protecting their skin, and giving them that glow,” Robinson shared.

The ‘Yes Day’ line features products like Float Foam Cleanser, Whip Dream Moisturizer, and Lip Sweetie Lip Mask. The packaging is bright and appealing, designed to resonate with young girls, while the formulas incorporate beneficial ingredients like probiotics, centella asiatica, and antioxidants.

Filling a Gap in the Market

Coco’s inspiration for ‘Yes Day’ came from a simple observation: many existing skincare brands weren’t truly catering to her age group. “I was like, ‘No one’s making skin care for kids, and if they are, it doesn’t tick the box, because either it’s not cute or it doesn’t actually help,’” Coco explained. She wanted to create products that were both effective and appealing to her peers.

With an affordable price range of $15 to $26, and a ‘Sleepover Set’ for $72, ‘Yes Day’ aims to make quality skincare accessible. Coco’s vision extends beyond just products; she hopes to foster confidence and community among teen girls, promoting skincare as a form of self-care. “Skincare is my self-care,” she states on the brand’s website. “YES DAY is for me, my friends and people like us who want to live their boldest, baddest lives. Full of positivity, free of worries.”

  • Yes Day: Gen Z’s New Skincare Brand

Finding the right skincare can be a challenge, especially for tweens and teens navigating the complexities of young skin. Enter Yes Day, a new beauty brand specifically designed for Gen Zalpha, aiming to provide effective, age-appropriate products that boost confidence and promote healthy skin.

    Skincare Tailored for Young Skin

Young skin often deals with unique issues like stress, environmental factors, and hormonal changes. Many products on the market are too harsh, featuring ingredients like retinols or artificial fragrances that can cause irritation. Yes Day, co-created by 13-year-old Coco Granderson and renowned formulator Ron Robinson (founder of Beautystat), aims to fill this gap.

The brand’s mission was to create a skincare line that is both effective and gentle, addressing the specific needs of tweens and teens. The initial four-step routine includes a Float Foam Cleanser, Whip Dream Moisturizer, Inner Beam Hydration Mist, and Lip Sweetie Lip Mask. These products are designed to strengthen the skin barrier, hydrate, nourish, and calm irritation.

    Gentle Formulas, Big Impact

Launched on October 1st, Yes Day has already garnered praise for its thoughtful approach. The brand is clinically tested, dermatologist-approved, cruelty-free, and fragrance-free, making it suitable for all skin types, including sensitive young skin. Even adults are reportedly drawn to the gentle yet effective formulations.

Ron Robinson explained the science behind the brand, highlighting the “Yes Magic complex” which blends probiotics, centella asiatica, and antioxidants. This unique combination works to repair the skin’s barrier, soothe irritation, protect the skin, and enhance its natural glow. The brand also emphasizes fun, festive packaging that appeals to its target demographic.

A Passion Project Comes to Life

At an intimate press dinner in New York City, Coco Granderson and her mother, Danielle Granderson, shared their gratitude for bringing Yes Day to life. Coco’s passion for skincare was the driving force behind the brand, and her collaboration with Robinson has resulted in a line that truly understands the needs of young consumers.

Yes Day is more than just a skincare line; it’s about empowering young individuals to feel confident in their skin and providing them with the tools to care for it properly. It’s a refreshing addition to the beauty market, focusing on gentle efficacy and youthful appeal.
