It seems like singer Yailin La Más Viral is once again in the headlines, and this time it’s for a serious legal issue. The artist, whose real name is Jorgina Lulú Guillermo Díaz, was recently taken into custody in the Dominican Republic.
What Led to the Arrest?
Authorities apprehended the 23-year-old on March 25th in Santo Domingo. The arrest reportedly stemmed from a traffic stop involving a green Lamborghini. Police pulled over the vehicle, which Yailin was traveling in with two other individuals, and allegedly discovered two pistols with magazines inside.
Following the discovery, Yailin was seen being escorted by security to court. Prosecutors are now reviewing the case, which involves laws concerning weapons and ammunition. If convicted, she could face significant penalties.
Yailin’s Defense Team Responds
Yailin’s legal team is actively contesting the accusations. They’ve stated that a public figure appears to be targeted and that investigators already have information pointing to the actual individuals responsible for the weapons. The defense also claims that another person detained has admitted involvement, though this testimony is still being processed.
Past Legal Entanglements
This isn’t the first time Yailin has been involved in legal matters. She previously had a public and tumultuous relationship with rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine. After their split in 2024, Yailin accused him of abuse and filed a complaint that led to his arrest earlier that year. Authorities investigated those claims at the time.
As of now, Yailin has not made any public statements regarding her latest arrest. The investigation is ongoing, and more details are expected to emerge as the legal process unfolds.
