Get ready for a dose of inspiration and connection, Las Vegas! The renowned Black Excellence Brunch, a brainchild of cultural curator Trell Thomas, has officially landed in Sin City. This isn’t just any event; it’s an electrifying all-white day party designed to bring together Black entrepreneurs, creatives, community leaders, and changemakers for an afternoon of empowerment and connection.
Celebrating Brilliance in the Heart of Vegas
Trell Thomas has been hosting these internationally recognized events in various cities, but this marks his first time bringing the Black Excellence Brunch experience to Las Vegas. The core mission? To create intentional spaces where culture, connection, and community can truly thrive. It’s all about celebrating the incredible brilliance that already exists within the Black community.
The star-studded March 12 event, sponsored by Bayer, took place at the exclusive Stirling Club. It welcomed a carefully curated group of professionals, including entrepreneurs, creatives, and health and wellness experts, for an afternoon filled with meaningful conversations.
Empowering Conversations and Honoring Achievements
A major focus of the Las Vegas brunch was women’s health. Actress and health advocate AJ Johnson delivered an inspiring message about well-being and purpose, leaving attendees motivated. The event also honored the incredible R&B songstress Chante Moore.
Chante Moore also participated in a panel discussion titled ‘Real Talk: A Candid Conversation About Black Women and Menopause in the Workplace.’ Alongside experts like Anayah Ayoka and Dr. Kemi Doll, she shared insights and experiences, emphasizing the importance of open dialogue on crucial topics.
A Legacy of Connection and Excellence
Founded back in 2017, The Black Excellence Brunch started as intimate gatherings inspired by the traditional Black Sunday dinners that Trell Thomas experienced growing up. Since then, it has blossomed into a significant movement, expanding to major cities like Los Angeles and New York, and even hosting international events in Ghana and South Africa.
The brunch has consistently attracted notable guests, including stars like Sheryl Lee Ralph and social media sensation Tabitha Brown. Its impact is so significant that on January 13, 2024, the Biden administration even hosted the first-ever Black Excellence Brunch on the White House South Lawn, a testament to its influence.
