  • 50 Cent Mocks Floyd Mayweather Over Tax Lien

It seems like the legendary beef between 50 Cent and Floyd Mayweather is far from over. Following reports that the IRS has slapped the undefeated boxer with a massive $7.3 million tax lien, 50 Cent is reportedly finding the situation quite amusing.

50 Cent Weighs In on Mayweather’s Financial Woes

Floyd Mayweather, known for his incredible boxing career and lavish spending, is allegedly facing significant debt. Amid news of the substantial tax lien for unpaid federal taxes from 2018 and 2023, 50 Cent couldn’t resist taking a jab at his longtime rival.

According to reports, 50 Cent shared and then deleted an Instagram post that seemingly depicted an IRS lesson on how Mayweather allegedly mishandled his finances. The rapper allegedly captioned the post with, “Damn Champ popped and panicking. I told him let me read the contracts you can’t trust them. AI’s a f***ing Harvard graduate they will knock the money off right in front of you fool. SMH now look!”

A History of Feuds and Financial Allegations

This isn’t the first time 50 Cent has targeted Mayweather’s finances. Their feud, which began around 2012 when a business partnership dissolved, has seen years of back-and-forth jabs. 50 Cent has frequently trolled the boxer about alleged illiteracy and other financial disputes, including a notable $340 million lawsuit with Showtime.

Despite these ongoing allegations and 50 Cent’s public commentary, Mayweather and his team have consistently denied claims of significant financial trouble. They have also refuted assumptions surrounding a potential Manny Pacquiao rematch.

    Beyond the Beef

While the public spectacle between these two continues, 50 Cent has also been making headlines for other ventures. His appearance in the ‘Street Fighter’ trailer has generated excitement among fans for the upcoming video game adaptation.

It remains to be seen how Floyd Mayweather will respond to 50 Cent’s latest taunts, or if the boxer will ever address the ongoing financial rumors directly. One thing is for sure: this feud shows no signs of slowing down.

  • Terry Rozier’s $8.2M Tax Lien Released by IRS

In some welcome news amidst ongoing legal troubles, Miami Heat player Terry Rozier has had an $8.2 million tax lien released by the IRS. This development comes less than a week after the NBA star’s arrest on charges related to conspiracy to commit wire fraud and money laundering, stemming from an alleged gambling scandal.

Tax Lien Resolved, But Legal Battles Continue

The substantial tax lien was initially filed against Rozier in November 2023 in Broward County, Florida, related to property he purchased in June 2021. The recorded lien listed an unpaid balance of over $8.2 million. However, Rozier’s attorney, Jim Trusty, clarified the situation to ESPN in October, stating that the IRS determined Rozier only owed $3,000 in unpaid taxes for 2021. This amount has reportedly been settled, and the attorney expects the lien to be formally withdrawn.

While the tax lien issue appears resolved, Rozier remains embroiled in a more serious investigation. Earlier this year, the NBA cleared him of gambling accusations after an investigation into unusual betting activity during a March 2023 game between the Charlotte Hornets and the New Orleans Pelicans. The league stated it found no violation of NBA rules but acknowledged cooperation with a U.S. Attorney’s Office investigation.

    Allegations of Sharing Player Information

When Rozier was arrested in October, investigators accused him of sharing information about other NBA players with bettors prior to games. According to CNN, the allegations suggest that between December 2022 and March 2024, Rozier provided tips about his availability for games, specifically citing seven instances. Notably, one of these games was against the New Orleans Pelicans, which sportsbooks had previously flagged for irregular betting activity.

Rozier is scheduled to appear in federal court in Brooklyn for arraignment on December 8th. He has maintained his innocence regarding the charges against him. This ongoing legal situation casts a shadow over his career, despite the recent resolution of the tax lien.
