  • Three Sisters Found Dead at Sea Near Brighton

A profound tragedy has befallen a family from London after three sisters were discovered dead in the sea near Brighton. The bodies of Jane Adetoro, 36, Christina Walters, 32, and Rebecca Walters, 31, were recovered on May 13th, sending shockwaves through the community and leaving authorities searching for answers.

    An Ongoing Investigation

Sussex Police were alerted to the discovery near the Black Rock car park off Madeira Drive around 5:45 AM. While initial investigations have found no immediate evidence of third-party involvement or criminality, detectives are meticulously working to piece together the sisters’ final movements. This includes reviewing extensive CCTV footage and conducting interviews in the Brighton and London areas.

Authorities are particularly interested in anyone who may have seen the sisters in the Madeira Drive area between 10 PM on May 12th and 5:30 AM on May 13th. The circumstances surrounding how the three close-knit sisters ended up in the water remain unclear.

    A History of Devastating Loss

Adding another layer of heartbreak to this already devastating event, the sisters tragically lost their mother, Janice Adetoro, over a decade ago in a drowning incident. Janice, who reportedly struggled with mental health issues, disappeared in January 2010 and her body was recovered from Brookvale Lake a month later. This earlier tragedy deeply impacted the girls, who were described by their aunt as never having fully recovered.

Family members have expressed that they do not know if their mother’s death is connected to this recent incident, nor do they understand why the sisters traveled to Brighton. The family’s only prior link to the coastal city was a holiday taken years ago. Relatives described the sisters as incredibly close, happy, and best friends who communicated multiple times daily.

    A Father’s Heartbreaking Tribute

The father of the three sisters, Joseph, shared a deeply moving tribute, expressing his profound sorrow. “No words can truly describe the pain of losing three daughters in the prime of their lives,” he wrote. He remembered Jane’s strength, Christina’s kindness, and Becky’s joyful soul, emphasizing the immense void their loss has left.

He held onto the cherished memories, stating, “Though your time on earth was short, the impact you made will remain in our hearts forever.” The police have extended their deepest condolences to the family and vowed to conduct a thorough investigation to uncover the truth behind this terrible tragedy, while urging the public to respect the family’s privacy during this incredibly difficult time.

This is a deeply tragic story. If you have any information that could assist the investigation, please contact Sussex Police. Share your thoughts and condolences in the comments below.
