    Celebrating Global Innovators

This isn’t just about recognizing talent; it’s about celebrating individuals who are making waves across art, music, design, technology, and sports. Think of it as a curated list of the world’s most influential creative minds. The inaugural list already features some seriously impressive names, including South African DJ Black Coffee, Olympic fencer Miles Chamley-Watson, designer Yoon Ahn, and Ferrari’s Chief Design Officer Flavio Manzoni.

Swizz Beatz, who also co-founded The Dean Collection with his wife Alicia Keys, sees this as a natural fit. He explained that Qatar Airways doesn’t just transport people; it connects the world, mirroring the initiative’s goal to bring diverse creative forces together. This collaboration perfectly blends his artistic background with a strategic vision to highlight inspirational figures.

    A Global Cultural Journey

The ‘Creative 100’ initiative is set to unfold alongside major cultural events, kicking off with Art Basel Paris in 2025. The grand finale will be at Art Basel Doha in February 2026, where the inductees will be honored at a special gala. This partnership goes beyond just an event; it promises limited-edition merchandise and unique in-flight experiences for Qatar Airways passengers.

Imagine enjoying exclusive master classes or unique content curated by these creative leaders during your travels! Select Qatar Airways Privilege Club members will even get access to special learning opportunities. It’s all about expanding artistic horizons and connecting people through shared creative experiences.

More Than Just an Airline Partnership

Qatar Airways CEO Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer emphasized that creativity is at the core of their brand, making this partnership with Swizz Beatz a perfect reflection of their spirit. Swizz Beatz, a Harvard Business School alum, is transforming from an artist into a curator of global creative culture, acting as a vital bridge between high art, commercial brands, and international movements.

The Dean Collection itself has a strong track record, with its large-scale ‘Giants’ exhibition at the Brooklyn Museum in 2024 drawing over 500,000 visitors across its global tour. This new venture with Qatar Airways is set to amplify that impact, bringing incredible talent to a wider audience.

  • Qatar Airways Opens First US Lounge at JFK

Big news for travelers flying through New York! Qatar Airways is set to launch its very first airport lounge in the United States, marking a significant expansion into the American market. This premium facility is slated to open in 2026 within the highly anticipated new Terminal One at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK).

A Luxurious New Hub at JFK

The new lounge, spanning an impressive 15,000 square feet, is designed to be a luxurious haven primarily for Qatar Airways Business Class passengers. Travelers can expect a host of high-end amenities, including exquisite dining experiences, dedicated relaxation zones, prayer rooms, and even special play areas for children. It’s all part of Qatar Airways’ commitment to enhancing the travel experience at every touchpoint.

Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, Group Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Airways, highlighted the lounge’s importance, stating it will “complement our industry-leading Business Class travel experience.” Passengers will benefit from services like dedicated airport transfers and VIP check-in, ensuring a seamless journey from arrival to departure. The lounge will also feature direct boarding access, making the transition from relaxation to flight incredibly smooth.

    Strategic Move and Terminal Transformation

This move is a strategic enhancement for the Doha-based airline, which has been operating at JFK since 2008 and currently serves 11 U.S. destinations. The relocation of Qatar Airways’ JFK operations from Terminal 8 to the new Terminal One signifies a major step in strengthening its U.S. presence. Currently, their business class passengers utilize American Airlines lounges through their Oneworld partnership, but this dedicated space will allow Qatar Airways to deliver its signature premium service directly.

The new Terminal One is a key part of JFK’s massive $19 billion transformation project. Designed with spaciousness, natural light, and modern architecture in mind, the terminal will eventually cover 2.6 million square feet with 23 gates by 2030. The initial phase, launching in 2026, will open 14 gates, including the new home for Qatar Airways’ lounge.
