Former NFL wide receiver Alshon Jeffery, known for his Super Bowl-winning performance with the Philadelphia Eagles, has been arrested in California. The 36-year-old is facing charges of insurance fraud, according to reports from TMZ Sports.
Details of the Allegations
Jeffery was reportedly taken into custody on April 15, 2026, and booked on suspicion of concealing or failing to disclose an insurance benefit or payment. He was released later that morning. While the specifics of the alleged fraud are still emerging, the incident is said to stem from a minor freeway fender bender.
Jeffery’s representative, Denise White, CEO of EAG Sports Management, has firmly denied the allegations. “Alshon Jeffery categorically denies the allegations that have been reported,” White stated to PennLive. “The underlying incident was a minor freeway fender bender, and he provided his information at the scene.”
A Confident Defense
White emphasized that these are “unfounded allegations only” and that Jeffery has not been convicted of any offense. The representative expressed confidence that the legal process will reveal the truth. “He will address this matter through the legal process, and he remains confident that the facts will demonstrate this was a misunderstanding and nothing more.”
