  • Ex-DC Cop’s Book Exposes Police Academy Scandals

Get ready for a bombshell exposé from the heart of the D.C. police department! Former Sergeant Charlotte Djossou has retired from the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) and is now tearing down the infamous “blue wall of silence” with her self-published tell-all, “Sex Badges & Bodies: Surviving Inside the Narcissistic Culture of America’s Most Dangerous Boys Club.” This book promises to reveal shocking details about her two decades on the force.

From Stripper to Sergeant: A Tumultuous Career

Djossou, who joined the MPD in 2004 as the sole woman in her academy class, doesn’t shy away from her past. The book delves into her diverse life experiences, from her childhood in Maryland to her previous career as a stripper and her service in the U.S. Army. However, the primary focus is her extensive tenure with the MPD.

Within the book, Djossou details a sordid affair with a high-ranking official she refers to as “The Narcissist.” While not initially named, she later revealed to the Washington City Paper that this was indeed Chief Andre Wright, with whom she had a consensual sexual relationship, including threesomes, while he was married. Coincidentally, Wright was fired from the academy shortly before the book’s release, and 13 officers are currently on leave amid an expanding internal affairs investigation.

    Corruption, Indiscretions, and ‘Sex Dungeons’

“Sex Badges & Bodies” reads like a gripping crime drama mixed with explicit erotica. Djossou lays bare the alleged corruption she witnessed, including questionable overtime approvals and the convenient disappearance of evidence when names “carried weight.” These observations formed the basis of a whistleblower lawsuit she filed in 2020, which was settled in June 2025, alleging retaliation by the department.

The book doesn’t hold back on detailing Djossou’s own sexual encounters, both on and off MPD property. She describes intimate moments like “quickies” in the breakroom, hallways, and supply closets, and even a late-night rendezvous in a stairwell with her lover while dispatch chatter played in the background. She admits these actions were wrong but felt it was crucial to include them to show the reality of the situation.

Shocking Encounters and ‘Sex Dungeon’ Revelations

Djossou also recounts several encounters in what she calls “the sex dungeon,” clarifying that these meetings occurred off MPD property while her superior was on duty. She explicitly describes threesomes, detailing graphic sexual acts that occurred even while her lover’s wife was calling. These revelations have sparked a wide range of reactions online, with many comparing the story to racy fiction.

Djossou hopes her book serves as a “little bible” for aspiring officers, offering awareness about the favoritism, illegal activities, and narcissistic culture she experienced. She wants people to know what they might be getting into and what steps they can take if similar situations arise.
