Even as he gears up for his highly anticipated ninth studio album, “ICEMAN,” Drake is proving that his classics are still incredibly relevant. It seems his older hits aren’t just holding their ground; they’re dominating Apple Music’s Top Songs of 2025: Global chart, much to the delight of his fans.
Timeless Tracks Shine on 2025 Charts
In a testament to his lasting impact on the music industry, several tracks released years ago have made a significant splash on Apple Music’s year-end list. Fan favorites like 2009’s “Best I Ever Had,” the 2016 Wizkid and Kyla-featured “One Dance,” and the 2018 anthem “God’s Plan” are all present. Even more recent hits like 2021’s “Wants And Needs” (featuring Lil Baby) and “Knife Talk” (featuring 21 Savage and Project Pat) have secured spots.
But the hits don’t stop there! Tracks like “Nokia” and “Somebody Loves Me” from his collaboration album with PartyNextDoor, “Some Sexy Songs 4 U,” have also earned a place on the prestigious chart. It’s clear that Drake’s music resonates across different eras.
A Reigning King of Streaming
This chart success comes as no surprise, considering Drake’s consistent dominance in the streaming world. He was, in fact, the most-streamed rapper on both Apple Music and Spotify throughout 2025. His ability to consistently produce chart-topping music, both new and old, solidifies his status as a streaming powerhouse.
Fans are eagerly anticipating his upcoming ninth studio album, “ICEMAN.” While an official release date hasn’t been announced, the project is expected very soon. Drake has been teasing the album, sharing snippets of unreleased songs on his Instagram Story and through his “ICEMAN” livestream series. Tracks like “What Did I Miss?,” “Which One” (featuring Central Cee), and “Dog House” (featuring Yeat and Julia Wolf) have already been teased, building massive anticipation for the full release.

With his catalog continuing to perform exceptionally well and a new album on the horizon, Drake shows no signs of slowing down. The success of his older tracks on the 2025 charts is a powerful reminder of his enduring appeal and the deep connection his music has with listeners worldwide.
