  • Holly Robinson Peete Hosts ‘King’s Court’ with Royal Advice

Get ready for the grand finale of Bravo’s ‘King’s Court’! This season, we’ve seen hosts Holly Robinson Peete and her husband Rodney Peete guide bachelors Carlos Boozer, Thaddeus Bullard, and Tyson Beckford on their quest for love. Holly Robinson Peete, an Emmy-nominated actress and seasoned TV personality, is sharing how she’s blending her own ‘royal’ relationship wisdom with her signature charisma to help these men find their queens.

More Than Just a Host: Deeply Involved Guidance

Unlike typical reality show hosts, Holly Robinson Peete emphasized that she and Rodney are genuinely invested in the contestants’ journeys. “I love that we actually get up in their business,” she told BOSSIP’s Managing Editor Dani Canada. “We are involved with the couples, and they were really open to us and our advice.”

This hands-on approach is possible thanks to her own enduring marriage to former NFL star Rodney Peete, who have been together for over three decades. Producer Will Packer specifically sought out the couple for their unique perspective, a move Holly deeply appreciated. “Rarely does that even happen in Hollywood, where someone actually says, ‘You are the people that we want, and here’s why,’” she recalled.

Navigating Love: The Peetes’ Three-Stage Marriage

Holly described their marriage in three distinct phases: the first decade was filled with youthful energy and excitement. The second decade focused on the ‘business of life,’ navigating the challenges of raising children. Now, in their ’empty nester phase,’ they’re rediscovering companionship and each other.

Initially, the couple worried about appearing ‘too perfect’ on screen. “We were a little nervous,” Holly admitted. “We didn’t want to be that, ‘oh, we’re so perfect and we know everything and you have to listen to us’ [couple].” Their goal was simply to offer their perspective, and they were pleasantly surprised by how receptive the bachelors were to their insights.

Carlos Boozer: Love at First Sight

Holly noted Carlos Boozer’s immediate connection with Janaye. “It was amazing to watch his growth and vulnerability. His emotional intelligence is very high, and he was hooked from moment one,” she said. She witnessed undeniable chemistry, describing it as ‘la foudre a frappé’ – a bolt of lightning.

    Thaddeus Bullard: Learning and Growing

For Thaddeus ‘Titus O’Neil’ Bullard, Holly saw a journey of developing emotional awareness. She praised his willingness to learn, especially after a moment where he misread a contestant’s demeanor. The show also presented a love triangle for Thaddeus, with Holly finding herself drawn to both Kalia’s intelligence and Arielle’s connection to her son’s needs.

Tyson Beckford: A Lover Beneath the Surface

Holly, who has known Tyson Beckford since the 90s, defended the supermodel against skepticism about his seriousness. “Beneath that supermodel, adrenaline-junkie, flashy guy, there’s such a beautiful heart,” she stated. She believes Tyson is ready for love but struggles with confrontation, which is challenging on a drama-filled show. His season also featured a love triangle, with Holly observing a powerful chemistry with Felicia and a developing softer side with Jennifer.

Looking Ahead: Future Kings and Season’s Growth

As the finale approaches, Holly even playfully suggested future ‘King’s Court’ bachelors like Shamar Moore, Taye Diggs, and Marlon Wayans to producer Will Packer. For now, she’s celebrating the growth witnessed this season. “All three kings showed up with different stories, different levels of readiness, but they were open. And when you’re open, love has a chance to find you.”

  • Carlos Boozer on ‘King’s Court’: Love, Lists & Brotherhood

From the basketball court to the reality TV spotlight, two-time NBA All-Star Carlos Boozer is embarking on a new journey to find love on Bravo’s ‘King’s Court.’ He’s opening up to BOSSIP about the experience, sharing his thoughts on vulnerability, his connection with contestant Janaye, and the unique brotherhood he’s formed with co-stars Tyson Beckford and Thaddeus ‘Titus O’Neil’ Bullard.

    Trading the Hardwood for Vulnerability

Boozer admits that putting his love life on display for the world was a significant adjustment. “I think, honestly, that was the part I had the toughest part with,” he told BOSSIP. “You’re getting to know somebody or getting to know people on camera and you gotta be vulnerable and let your guard down.” After two previous marriages and divorces, Boozer was determined to approach this experience differently, aiming to be vulnerable earlier than he normally would, which he found to be incredibly rewarding.

Early on, Boozer found himself drawn to Janaye, a 32-year-old content creator from Tampa. Their instant chemistry has captivated viewers, and Boozer shared that he was immediately struck by her, particularly her “hot pink dress.” He was impressed not only by her physical beauty but also by her depth, noting, “she just she’s deeper than just her physicality, obviously she’s she’s well-rounded.”

    Navigating Love Triangles and Brotherhood

The show recently introduced Jennifer, a 37-year-old architect from Miami, who was dubbed a “perfect match” for Boozer. While Jennifer also caught the attention of Tyson Beckford, Boozer felt a connection due to shared ties to Seattle, where his ex-wife lives. This situation created some tension, particularly with Janaye, but Boozer felt compelled to “explore a little bit.”

The dynamics on ‘King’s Court’ have been further complicated by Tyson Beckford’s infamous dating list, where contestants scheduled appointments for dates with him. Boozer, who has been friends with Beckford for 15 years, offered some perspective, explaining that Tyson is accustomed to women pursuing him, and the women on the show are used to men chasing them, creating a different dynamic. He acknowledged the ladies’ hesitation with the list, noting, “They’re used to having men chase them, right? This is a different dynamic.”

    A Bond Beyond the Competition

Beyond the competition, Boozer expressed immense love and respect for his fellow kings, Beckford and WWE legend Thaddeus ‘Titus O’Neil’ Bullard. He shared that the show strengthened his friendship with Tyson and allowed him to get to know Bullard, whom he calls an “inspiration.” The three men have formed a genuine bond, holding each other accountable as fathers, friends, and Black men. “We kind of hold each other accountable on that tip and just check in a week,” Boozer said. “Me and Tyson got even closer because of this show. And so for me, it was an honor to do this project and film this show with two other awesome, awesome men.”
